about Rick

From the hand-me-down "Kodak Brownie” camera my sister Ann gave me at 10 years old to the modern day Canon DSLR in my photo bag today, snapping a shutter button to create memories has always been one of the loves of my life.

Enhancing the experience included countless hours in a darkroom printing photos for the high school yearbook, and years later, printing proofs for a top wedding photographer in Dallas.

I moved to Dallas in 1980 (the year of “Who shot J.R.?).  After years as a soloist and chorister in numerous arts groups and a broad array of job experiences, a new life shift finds me returning to the joys of photography so I’d love to be your go-to photographer.  And by the way, I did NOT shoot J.R. (not even with my camera).   Kristin did!

With the advent of the digital camera (a.k.a. “a darkroom in a box”), I shifted from creating in the darkroom to creating behind the lens — it’s nice to be in the light!
